Overview

Carolina Poly, Inc. located in Chester, SC, is currently seeking a Production Manager to join our team. Carolina Poly produces several lines of polyethylene products including high quality trash bags and construction films. Carolina Poly is a new facility that is part of an established nationwide manufacturing company that can provide growth and advancement opportunities.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess:

 

  • Bachelor’s Degree is required. Engineering Degree preferred.
  • At least 4 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience in consumer packaged products, films, converting or similar industry is preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal, leadership, and organizational skills with demonstrated ability to teach, motivate, and lead personnel. Previous supervision/management experience preferred.
  • Excellent Decision making skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to function successfully in a fast paced, changing work environment.

Responsibilities

  • Manages production associates, including Supervisors, across all shifts at the manufacturing facility to meet designated productivity goals.
  • Plans, manages, and adjusts workload and production schedules to optimize plant resources and meet scheduled production commitments.
  • Organize and direct all related departmental activities through direct reports supervising each shift.
  • Ability to reward and recognize performance and execute on discipline as needed.
  • Coach supervisors to achieve performance standards with regards to safety, line utilization and quality.
  • Build people capability through effective employee relations, training, and communication for both management and front-line hourly personnel.
