Overview

Carolina Poly, Inc. in Chester, SC, is seeking detailed oriented individuals to work in our Manufacturing Process Department.  The Process Technician is responsible for process verification, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis of manufacturing related equipment / tools with the assistance of Maintenance and Engineering.

Responsibilities

Downtime recording 

  • Monitor daily reports and focus efforts on the problem areas.
  • Provide feedback to management on resolution of current issues.

 Monitor scrap rates

  • Daily on line exposure to resolve ongoing issues found in downtime reporting and from production department feedback.
  • Build relationships with production for notification of problems.

 Standardize

  • Ensure parameters are being followed daily.
  • Verify operator knowledge and work with operators to help build skills on line.
  • Work with maintenance to ensure equipment is set to corporate standard after every repair or PM event.
  • Liaison between production and maintenance.
  • Support projects to improve processes and address corrective actions.
  • Equipment operation.

Qualifications

  • 1-3 years’ experience troubleshooting manufacturing equipment.
  • 1-3 years’ experience in setting up production machines.
  • Good communication skills are a must.
  • The ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Computer literate.
  • The ability to be a good student of Carolina Poly processes and procedures.

Process Technicians work a yearly set schedule of 4 days on and 4 days off with 12 hour shifts.  The days of the week worked will rotate from week to week.  Candidates must be available to work each day of the week.
